There's a particularly warm welcome at the Wheatsheaf - Ewell's wet-only traditional village pub.  Regularly serving four cask marque approved ales and a wide selection of draught and bottled premium lagers and ciders, our bar with ornate glasswork and original fireplaces provides relaxed surroundings for old and new visitors alike.  Our specially selected wines and spirits are all reasonably priced. The Wheatsheaf is dog and children friendly (with a children's play area - closed until 1st August 2020) and is ideally positioned for both the Hogsmill river and London loop walks.  We are within a stone's throw of Bourne Hall and the heart of Ewell village and a quarter of a mile from the beautiful Nonsuch Park. We are proud to be associated with the Ewell St. Mary's Morris Men and the Rusty Rovers who perform at the pub throughout the year. To keep up to date with forthcoming events, special offers and current ales like our facebook page, follow us on twitter and sign up to receive our 'Wheaty Weekly' email on the 'About us' page.

If you love great beer, you'll love the Wheatsheaf. Our ales are so fresh we were awarded top marks in our cask marque inspection.

Dave, Tanya and the team look forward to welcoming you to our local community pub in the very near future.

As you know, it has been a gloomy start to 2021 with rising Coronavirus cases prompting a return to a national lockdown that has once again resulted in the closure of all pubs across the country.

The expected duration of this third lockdown remains very unclear but we will let you know as soon as we have confirmation of a timetable for re-opening.

We bid you a fond and hopefully brief goodbye.

Please stay safe, adhere to the new guidelines and we look forward to welcoming you back to the best little pub in the village in the not too distant future.

Best wishes

Dave, Tanya and the team

When we reopen, it will still be the same Wheaty you know and love but, like every other pub, you might find it a little different due to the government restrictions in place. The Wheatsheaf Team are looking forward to your visit but to keep everyone safe we will be operating a one way system.  On entry please supply your details (these will be kept for 21 days) and use the hand sanitiser provided.  Please take a seat and a friendly member of our staff will take your drink order. Drinking at the bar will not be permitted and there must be no more than 6 people to a table.  Furniture has been arranged within the guidelines so please refrain from moving around.

Our opening hours are                                       Sunday - Wednesday midday to 9pm                                 Thursday midday - 10pm                          Friday - Saturday 12pm - 10pm

Family pubs don’t come much better than the Wheatsheaf.  With an outdoor TV showing live Sky and BT Sport and a children's play area, we firmly believe that our sun trap of a beer garden is the perfect place to spend family time together.

Our Children's Play Area, tucked away at the top of the Wheatsheaf beer garden, has re-opened and is fully equipped with climbing frames, rope ladders, slides and Little Tikes play equipment allowing both big and little kids to enjoy themselves.

We are of the opinion that pubs should be a fun place to come with Mum and Dad or Nan and Grandad, so when you’re looking for that ‘family pub near me’, you can rest assured that our main consideration is to offer a true family pub environment.

Our outdoor play area is a godsend when it comes to giving the parents a chance to relax whilst the kids are entertained.
