There's a particularly warm welcome at the Wheatsheaf - Ewell's wet-only traditional village pub.  Regularly serving four cask marque approved ales and a wide selection of draught and bottled premium lagers and ciders, our bar with ornate glasswork and original fireplaces provides relaxed surroundings for old and new visitors alike.  Our specially selected wines and spirits are all reasonably priced. The Wheatsheaf is dog and children friendly (with a children's play area - closed until 1st August 2020) and is ideally positioned for both the Hogsmill river and London loop walks.  We are within a stone's throw of Bourne Hall and the heart of Ewell village and a quarter of a mile from the beautiful Nonsuch Park. We are proud to be associated with the Ewell St. Mary's Morris Men and the Rusty Rovers who perform at the pub throughout the year. To keep up to date with forthcoming events, special offers and current ales like our facebook page, follow us on twitter and sign up to receive our 'Wheaty Weekly' email on the 'About us' page.

If you love great beer, you'll love the Wheatsheaf. Our ales are so fresh we were awarded top marks in our cask marque inspection.

Natalie and the team look forward to welcoming you to our local community pub in the very near future.

September is set for lots of sunshine and record-breaking temperatures, as hot air closes in from the Mediterranean.  Temperatures look set to rise into the mid-20's with the mercury in the south east reaching as high as 24c.  Well, the good folk at the Wheaty don't need an excuse to have a party so we thought why not say farewell to Summer with a festival of great music and beer kicking off on Friday 4th September.

In accordance with government guidelines, measures will be in place to protect those attending, along with our staff and the performers.  Entry on the day will only be possible if numbers allow and we will still be required to take your details so, to ensure your places and save time on arrival, we strongly suggest reserving your place in advance by speaking to one of the team behind the bar or calling us on 020 8393 2879.  There remains a one-way system in and out of the pub and obviously ask that social distancing between different households is adhered to.

Going forward it will still be the Wheaty you know and love but, like every other pub, you might find it a little different due to the government restrictions in place. The Wheatsheaf Team are looking forward to your visit but to keep everyone safe we will be operating a one way system.  On entry please supply your details (these will be kept for 21 days)and use the hand sanitiser provided.  Please order your drink and pay for it at the bar and then collect at the collection point. Drinking at the bar will not be permitted and there will be no more than 6 people to a table.  Furniture has been arranged   within the guidelines so please refrain from         moving around.

Our opening hours are                                       Sunday - Wednesday midday to 9pm                                 Thursday midday - 10pm                          Friday - Saturday 12pm - 11pm

Family pubs don’t come much better than the Wheatsheaf.  With an outdoor TV showing live Sky and BT Sport and a children's play area, we firmly believe that our sun trap of a beer garden is the perfect place to spend family time together.

Our Children's Play Area, tucked away at the top of the Wheatsheaf beer garden, has re-opened and is fully equipped with climbing frames, rope ladders, slides and Little Tikes play equipment allowing both big and little kids to enjoy themselves.

We are of the opinion that pubs should be a fun place to come with Mum and Dad or Nan and Grandad, so when you’re looking for that ‘family pub near me’, you can rest assured that our main consideration is to offer a true family pub environment.

Our outdoor play area is a godsend when it comes to giving the parents a chance to relax whilst the kids are entertained.
